It's better to reply on the group.  That way everyone will see
whatever questions you may have.  You'll have a much better
chance of getting a useful answer(s).  If posting is inconvenient,
though, the recipient could always post your e-mail to the newsgroup.

You can set up the newsgroup into your outlook express mailbox; i am not sure if you know that (or if you are posting from the google group website for   alt.support.lupus)
but, by clicking on   news://alt.support.lupus
(or just paste it into your browser 'IE' address bar and 'go' or enter it)
you should get your OE mailbox to open and start setting up a newsgroup... if you don't know how just ask and people will help you step by step... good luck~

Hello Tina,
Try this http://groups.google.com/group/alt.support.lupus/
Save it to your Bookmarks/Favorites.
It should always show you the latest topics (and the older ones).

If you tell us your ISP (internet provider), I could search to see if they
carry newsgroups.
If they do, all is needed is a setting from them, that might be on their
webpage, in order to use Thunderbird (I see you've got Mozilla) for email
and newsgroups.

Her ISP is kconline. com.  They do carry nntp newsgroups and Shelagh's link
should work according to the ISP's setup instructions. It looks to me that
Tina is using her browser to access through Google Groups and that she is
using a spoofed or modified useragent header in her browser.

How'd you know her ISP? (I need to know for others)
Lots of people use their Yahoo's to post through Google.
There's no instructions, that I can find, on emails or newsgroups
(except for Win 95/98) http://support.kconline.com/win9.internet.mail.php
see where it says "outgoing" and "incoming".
That's what I did when I set up Mozilla (email and newsgroups).
Everythnig worked fine, downloading, reply, new message, sorting set, BUT i
could not spoof,
so I abandoned Mozilla (email/newsgroups) and only kept the browser and am back
with Win 98

so unless you know how to spoof with Mozilla (Win version), then maybe she is
better off with OE and Shelagh's instructions.

I used the NNTP posting host in her header doing a "whois' lookup. For
Instance you are posting from execulink. For news I looked here:
<http://support.kconline.com/faq.php>

I'm not sure what else you are asking. If you want you can e-mail me at the
above address. Be sure to include [ASL] in the subject to get past my
filters.
