Good day all, I have noticed over the last week that approximately 2hrs
after taking my morning dose of meds I get sick to my stomach and the
feeling stays with me all day now.  anyone else get this?  I take the
following in the morning

Cellcept 1500mg
Furosimite 80-120mg
Lipitor 20mg
Vitamin
Prilosec
cozar
potasium

It use to happen all the time but only last for an hr or so, now I am
sick all day and everytime I eat or drink I fell like I am going to be
phisically ill.  I have a dr app very soon so I am going to try and get
a few meds lowered.  I should be able to drop a few since I have come
off the pred.

I try to take most of the meds at night to avoid any of the possible side
effects.
Lupus has affected my GI tract as it is so most of the time, the pills just
come right back up.

For those that I must take during the morning, make sure you have something
to eat (something significant) and a full glass of water.

I found that taking the lipitor in the morning was making my nausea so bad,
I had to move it to bedtime.

IT worked!!!   I had taken it in the evening but figured heck get all the
pills out of the way in morning but didn't work.

So try lipitor with evening pills or just take it before bed.  See if that
helps.

Sometimes too the vitamins will make the nausea

Cell cept working for you??   Do you have kidney problems??  My doc won't
give it to me unless I have kidney and I am sick of this cortisone
stuff....nothing is working

hang in there.

Cellcept seems to be working, I just stopped the pred.  I was
originally on Cytoxin but it put me in the hospitol with a 104 - 94
fever every 12 hrs.  It would appear that I am highly allergic to
cytoxin.  I do have kidney involvement.  Been watching my Creatine go
from 2.4 to 0.9 and now a steady 1.4  so it would seem that my kidney
issues are stabalizing.  I have had two kidney Biopsy's, not
recommended but not as bad at other procedures.........  :)

as for your doc and cellcept.  most of the studies are showing that
cellcept is as good or better, in some cases, than the traditional
therapy.  My Rhumy is a clinical professor at Yale NewHaven Hospital
and he has had alot of success in the last five years with cellcept.
More than half of his patients are on it in conjunction with pred.
Although the taper off pred is faster than with cytoxin.  My body had
adapted pretty good to the Cellcept, just a few facial blemishes and it
does magnify the sun allergy, for me anyway.
