re drugs for AI illnesses

Here is a link to a page of what they call DMARDs... or
disease modifying agents for rheumatoid disease symptoms....
something like that..
it has penacillamine, chloroquine, methotrexate and all the sulphas and immuno suppressing category etc....
actually interesting to know this stuff.

FYI

Azathioprine is included in the list, aka, Imuran.

TPMT Liver functions should be checked before starting Imuran.  TPMT
stands for thiopurine S-methyltransferase and is the primary enzyme
responsible for thiopurine drug-based metabolism (Imuran/azathioprine is
a thiopurine drug).  If a patient has low TPMT enzyme activity they are
at high risk for dosage-related side effects.  The test is TPMT Mutation
Analysis.

no... that isn't our Rothnie - bruce...
this blades - bruce is different who answered to the link on meds...
but just to let you know 'our' bruce rothnie is doing wonderfully and was even involved in some habitat work in the states.... go Bruce!  
he is well and doing fine!
