If I remember correctly, Henrietta Aladjem took it when she went to Poland
in the late 1940's for treatment of the then obscure disease. I'll research
it. Back then, they didn't have a clue what lupus was & they 1st gave her
sulfonamides, which obviously worsened her condition. But thanks to her,
we've come a long way. Anyone know Henny? She's a really cool lady. She
started the Lupus Foundation (later grew apart because of the politics going
on) but she's still active with other organizations. I think her 1st book
was 'The Sun is My Enemy', 2nd was 'In Search of the Sun', which Dr. Peter
Schur co-authored. Many more after that too.
