Hi Everyone, I need a little whine and cheese session. I am really
worried about my legs and feet. The circulation is really bad. My feet
are ice cold all the time and to touch my legs they feel the same. I
usually run hot ( the Pred) but it's like my top half is hot and below
waist is cold. Last thursday she could barely feel pulse in feet. She
talked about enbral after she gets look at blood work. Is anyone dealing
with this. I am starting my 8th year of being Dx'es with Lupus been very
difficult. Although we can go back to childhood and see where it was
Lupus doing things. Mostly only Pred has controlled it. I am also have
bad acid reflux, waking from a sound sleep gasping for air. Before that
it has sounded like I have a really sore throat all the time. A lot of
respiratory stuff in 05. And still now. Hard to breath most of the time
If I miss a couple days of my daily Keflex I am down for the count.
Anyway thanks for listening. The circulation thing has me scared very
difficult to walk. No feeling but cold pain and Novocain numbness. John
wants me to use a cane in public as my last 2 toes have kinda frozen
together and make me fall if I start out on them. Sorry just needed to
talk it out.
My Grampa had phlebitis and my Grama wrapped hot towels around them may help

Hi Cindy,
I can only handle one problem at a time.
GERD http://digestive.niddk.nih.gov/ddiseases/pubs/gerd/ (instructions here).
Also my rules:
Take time to digest before doing something that involves lifting, bending,
hurrying.
No juice, no pop after supper (only water).
If I eat anything acid (tomatoey or fruity) have to finish up with a bit of
starchey (bread after tomatoey) crusty with fruit (ie tarts or pie), no greasy.
It's better for some reason if I sleep on my left side.
It seems to flare about twice a month.
Gargle with warm water and salt helps the throat, prevention is better.
Proton pump inhibitor.

Hi Cindy, I'm sorry you're going through this.
My feet have been swelling and fingers going numb and blue. The left worse than
the right.
I know that's circulatory. I just posted a link with tips, including the hot
compessess. Also
try sleeping with a wedge-shaped pillow to elevate your head and upper body.
That helps gravity send blood down to your feet. keep moving, if possible. I do.
(also might help your GERD)
Hugs

Thanks J I just got back to the computer Thanks for all the links. I
will try the things Have not already done. I sleep in a recliner have
for a long time now do to my respritory stuff and the pain of laying
down. There just seems to be so many new things lately. Seemed before
that wasn't so much at once. But we will deal right.??
Anyway I thank you again I look up alotof stuff but not so good at
sending links, Lately it has just hurt too much to do anything. We had a
little cool snap this weekend and I can barely move. I love the cool
weather we have so much hot in Texas. I will deal with the cool.

hmmm..that's a conundrum if you're already sleeping sitting up.
my legs feel like lead (hard) and my feet are swelling (shoes and
boots don't fit anymore),
getting same problem - can't sleep due to pain with coldsnap and
spasms in back, hands and legs.
geez... I want a body transplant - head seems to work a bit ;)

you just described me to a T... the last 2 toe's on both feet feel
solid. unmovible and leg's like lead like you said with intermitten
sharp painful pins and needles.
Having alot more spasms also yesterday noticed my socks were wet on
bottem I guess after going in bath after hubby showered but didn't feel
it just saw it. I am wearing 2 pair usually and a pair of knitted
slippers with traction on bottem so I don't slip. That lack of feeling
is weird. Then when they are ice cold to me which is almost all the time
they feel normal to the touch to John my noise is doing this too always
cold and drippy. LUPUS is just WEIRD WEIRD WEIRD.
