Happy New Year all!
Just wanted to share what happened to me on the Thursday before Christmas.
I was at work and we were having our annual Christmas party at lunch. It so
happened it was also my lesson day so I had my guitar with me. One of the
patriarchs of the company came in with some Christmas carols to sing at the
party. Something they have not done (he says) in a long time. I know it
hasn't been since I have been there which will be 14 years this month.
Anyway he asked me if I had my guitar. Hesitantly I said yes. He asked me if
I could play with them. I looked at the music and their wasn't any chords
with them. I gulped and said yes and hurriedly went to the internet and got
the chords. We are talking about 20 songs. I only had about 15 min to do
this. For I guess good because I had no time to get nervous. After I played
at the party for which there might have been about 30 people. I then felt
brave enough to play my solo. At least I had the courage to do it. Felt good
about it anyway. There may be hope for me after all when it comes to playing
in front of people considering what happened to me at church earlier.
Have a wonderful and healthful New Year!
Much Love,
Paulette
