Try this j.
From C to F
Double it You now have 10/5 ...-22=-44
Subtract 1/10of that from itself to get to 9/5 ...-44=4.4 = -39.6
Add 32 ==-7.6
You were almost there .

Then take away the number you first thought of...
Personally I find the basic formulae easiest:
F = (C*9/5) + 32
C = (F - 32) * 5/9
but everyone else's mileage will vary. A good check of any method is
"numbers you know"; I suggest these:
C F
0 32
100 212
-40 -40

Or you can just go to the weather place on the computer and check the temp
in both C and F saves the brain the trouble of figuring it out. <g>

I am happy to say that my eye is not bleeding anymore and the blood is
breaking apart looks much better. Still a bit like I got in a brawl but
much better. John said when we go shopping Thursday night ( yes thursday
night that's how behind we are on being ready for Christmas) that people
will get out of my way if I make eye contact giggle
Cindy W. Still chilly here but not complaining.

Cindy I'm so glad to hear you're eye's getting better! You sound more
cheerful. With all the weird contacts out these days, people just
might stop you and ask where you got the cool contacts, hahaha.
Have a very merry Christmas!

We did, didn't we. Guess I just missed the "minus".
And to Andy, i use this method when working on refrigeration systems for
labs. The scientists always tell me what they want in Celsius and all the
older equipment is in Fahrenheit. It astonishes them when I have the
conversion before they have they're calculators out of they're pockets.
Just don't ask me to go quickly from F to C.
