There was a role call called a couple of days ago.  So...I took the
opportunity to update you guys on how my sister in law is doing.  I wrote
this spring.  She had contracted what the doctors thought was meningitis
twice.  Well....they decided after a lot of poking and prodding that it was
actually Schogren's (probably spelled wrong) syndrome.  I'm still shocked
that the doctor blew me off two months before when I asked him to look into
it on a tip from you guys.  But....I'm letting go of it.  : )
Anyway.  Dana's doing good.  She starting taking the injection that you guys
had mentioned to me.  She spoke to her rheumy and he said that it might be a
good thing for her to try because she wasn't absorbing enough from the pill
form of treatment.  She's finding it very good.  She's been feeling better
since it started working.  It took some time for her to adjust, but it's
making a noticeable difference.  She went to see a different specialist.
This one was in Nova Scotia instead of here in Newfoundland.  She had wanted
to see someone with more of a background in lupus.  The appointment went
really well.  She got some good feedback.  So...all in all...things are good
here.  She's feeling better and that always makes me happy.  Plus, she
hasn't been in the hospital since they finally diagnosed her with the
syndrome that was disguising itself as meningitis.  There's the update.  I
hope the holidays treat you all well.  For those of you in the US have a
good Thanksgiving Day.  And Merry Xmas and Happy Holidays to everyone.

Thanks Karla.
Gosh it's good to hear from you again and hear that your sister in law, Dana, is
doing so good.

Sending Merry Xmas and Happy Holidays to everyone in NFLD.
