Hi folks,
Some of the regulars here don't see posters (unless somebody else replies
to them).
Some of our regulars block one specific poster.
ironjustice@aol.com
he crossposts (one post to multiple newsgroups).

There are instructions here how to block a poster or a thread (subject
line) for many (not all) newsgroup reader software (and versions vary)
<http://www.hyphenologist.co.uk/killfile/killfilefaqhtm.htm>

If you are using Outlook Express, either use the Message Rules (explained
on the above web page)
to copy/paste the posting name and email address (above) into the rules
OR plonk,
Highlight/select the post.
Click on 'message' between 'tools and help' at the top of OE...
then click on block sender..

I think this is instructions if you're using Thunderbird software
Simply right(mouse)-click on the From: entry in the heading line, and
select 'create filter from message'.
All new messages, from that poster, will be filtered.

If you're having trouble figuring out how to block, start a new subject
line (post) and ask and we'll try to help.

I think these are the instructions for software Thunderbird.
clicking on the offending post, go to "message" then to "create
rule from message"
Set on "match any of the following", then it has one rule already set.
Once you are viewing a message in the thread you want to killfile, select
the Message menu and look at the bottom options[Kill Thread] [Ignore Thread]
and [Watch
Thread]-- note the K and I and W shortcuts.
You have to be viewing the message for this to work.
So select the message, then try CTRL (button) and K

I think for Outlook and Outlook Express it's following the instructions here.

If you're having trouble figuring out how to block, start a new subject
line (post) and ask and we'll try to help.
