Anybody out there who suffers from this condition ?..Hope
Shelagh - 13 Feb 2005 00:40 GMT
I have Raynauds, diagnosed as secondary to my primary systemic lupus
diagnosis.
It can stand alone but most often it is part and parcel with another
autoimmune illness such as lupus or one of the sister illnesses like
scleroderma, RA etc.
There is some info at the site listed under my name.... Just click on Lupus
Files and then scroll down alphabetically to 'R'aynauds...

Thanks for the info...Do you know if Reynauds can affect vision ?  At
times my vision just goes nuts...I can be reading maybe at the most, 15
minutes then things go blurry and I must shut eyes and rest until vision
returns. Get a "Marble" like pattern, feel a bit dizzy..and my Vertigo
kicks in...been to many eye doctors here in Boise Idaho (Where are you
?) and they say maybe ??? Occular Migraine????...been to Nerve Dr, other
Doctors and they want to send me to Salt Lake City to a "SPECIALIST"
$$$$$$$$$  any help apreciated with this eye problem..Thanks..HOPE

Nope, raynaud's phenomena doesn't/shouldn't affect your vision.... now
sjogren's syndrome, also secondary to lupus (to my lupus dx anyhow), can
affect your vision in a few different ways but you didn't mention that; and
also occular migraines are common with lupus I know.
If I were you I would see a rheumatologist and an opthamologist if you can
afford to re insurance: we are in BC Canada and it is covered by our PBC
medical ins.
Good luck to you!

They haven't decided yet, I seem to have everything else, so I wouldn't be
surprised if they tag this on as well; is there a problem?

I was told I probably have it.  I've had problems with my feet since
about age 9.
I have the problem what ever it is in my hands too but not as bad as my
feet.

I had the 15 minute reading limit as well but mine turned out to be a
focusing problem with my eyes of which I got training for and haven't
had the problem since.  It didn't correct the problem 100% perhaps but
the only reason I don't read much now is due to my fatigue level.  I
don't know if the other problems you're having fit this though.

This doctor i saw was a specialist for such problems dealing with
learning problems.  I didn't know this before I started seeing him, just
was lucky I picked him.
