It's been a rather uneventful day and sometimes that is exactly what we
need! I volunteered this morning at the local public elementary in the
library where my granddaughter goes to school. It was very easy work - I sat
at the computer and checked books in and out. It made a big difference for
the librarian! And for a while it was so quiet that I went to the teachers
"lounge" and grabbed a cup of decaf coffee and brought it back to the
library. Then I ran a few errands and went to work. Tonight we had free
tickets, compliments of a friend, for a Ruritan pancake dinner. Way too many
carbs for me but it tasted good! The sausage was homemade and delicious! And
now we are home and I have a full tummy and didn't have to do a thing to
feed hubby or granddaughter!! LOL

I'm going to do a load of laundry and then I'll pack it in for the night.
I've got a good book I'm reading so it will be a quiet evening. I can tell
my daughter called from SC so I'm sure she'll call me back in a little
while. They youngest daughter is volunteering with the local rescue squad
tonight and I know she's probably working a major accident as I heard about
it while we were eating. Besides she's not answering her cell phone,
granddaughter tried to call her mom, so I know she's busy. So what is left
of today should be very quiet. I like quiet. Peace and quiet is often
savored in a busy household.
