can anyone help, my son (liam-15) is due his dip, polio and tetanus boosters
at school, the school nurse needs confirmation that him having these
boosters is safe for me c/o lupus. my doctor doesn't seem to know (or want
to find out to be quite honest), i'm waiting for the consultant to get back
to me. anyone else been in the same position?

Shouldn't be a problem. They are dead vaccines if I'm not mistaken. Live
polio isn't given anymore.
Both my kids had all their vaccines (from birth on) and no problems. The
live polio is the only one I was warned about but that's shed in the diaper.
But it's not given anymore afaik.
If you're really concerned, you can sign a waiver and not have your child
immunized. Most of the time schools don't tell you that but the waiver is
always available.

thanks for your replies, my consultant phoned me back and said the same, may
only be a problem if i was having a major flare, which i'm not, recent
bloods ok.
