Hi all,
I saw dr. today and because my bloodwork came back "normal" - everything
within limits- we are going to try no Imuran at all.  Mainly, my ANA came
back negative, whereas i've always had a positive.  I can't remember titers,
I just remember it always shows up.

Anyway, she's thinking because of the neg. ANA, possibly the lupus is
backing off, thus the Imuran is not needed to stop inflammation.  Because my
body is not needing the Imuran, it's building up and possibly becoming
toxic.  she's sure I'm going to feel better in 5-7 days.  To tell the truth
I'm scared as hell.  But, being the "I'll try just about anything once"
type, I'm going for it.  I'll still be taking Celebrex 2 x's a day.

I can't ever remember anyone having this type of reaction to Imuran.  It
wouldn't suprise me if this in fact is going on because I've always been out
of sync with the crowd <smile>. I sure hope she's right.  I trust her 100%.
Wish me luck!!

Hi Dawn,
You have to try what you and your doctor think is the best for you. I do
wish you the best of luck. You will let us know how you are getting along,
won't you? Please, please.

Hi Dawn!

I hope it all works out fine.  I was terrified to go off of it too.  My
doctor only agreed to keep me on it because I was going through an
extremely stressful time, but it was kinda scarey staying on it at the
same time.  Can't really win, can we? : )

I hope this means your Lupus is in remission & you have much better days
ahead.

Hugs 4 U,
Maggie

Wouldn't that be wonderful.  I said a prayer in the parking lot but couldn't
say the "r" word.  I'll be sure to keep you all posted.
Thanks a lot you guys.  All the support you have given me and still give is
truly appreciated.  (((((everyone)))))

Glad you seem happy and sound upbeat about your appointment.
That is really all that matters.... if you trust your doctor and feel
good about what is decided then just go with it and take a 'wait and
see' attitude.
It is good for 'the soul' and probably in the long run the body <g>!
Good luck and do keep us all updated on your results ok?
Hugs,

She could well be right - however a second possibility to consider if
you don't feel better next week is that the ANA reading has been lowered
by the Imuran or whatever else you are or have been on. I recall other
people have this effect - if any are reading, please post and
confirm/deny!
