Keep in mind that numerous tests have been negative for lupus...
I've always been highly intolernt of the sun - just a little exposure
makes me achy and feverish, and I burn within 15 minutes. Today I
managed to sit outside where the sun shone directly on one of my arms -
the sun had shifted while I was reading, so I got at least 30 minutes of
sun. Now on that arm in that area are many clear blister-like bumps
surrounded by a little pink. They don't hurt.
I am 99.99% sure that this isn't at all similar to a lupus reaction, but
since everyone seems so knowledgeable about sun and skin - any guesses
what they are? My connection is so bad tonight I can't load the images
on the skin page that J posted a while back, and I'm curious, so I'm
fishing for guesses.

When this happened to me the doc called it "sun poisoning" and yes Lupus
related - - mine itched like crazy and yet no pain - - What to do? I am
allergic to cortisone and had to just wait it out and take baking soda bath.

That happened to me for the first time this year. I have had sun poisoning
before but it was a little different this past time -- i was only in the sun
a short period of time and the blisters spread like a rash (it didn't hurt,
except when they popped and scabbed over, which made me look like i had
chicken pox). Don't know if it was a lupus thing or not since they are still
not positive that is what i have. Hmmm...
Keep us updated.

Thanks to both you and Chaos Hill. They don't really itch that much, but
they have a little crust on them today. I'm pretty it's a)no big deal
and b)a further reminder why I should keep out of the sun! That little
bit of exposure was enough for me to run a higher-than-usual fever and
feel like crap the next day.

Could be sun poison. I think that persons with lupus are really suseptible to
this. I have had it numerous times. Actually, after about six hours of driving
this weekend, I have bumps, itchy ones all along the side that was exposed to
sun. It will get better!
Wear sunscreen. Neutrogena makes some great ones.
I use MD forte for my face, though.
Good luck!
