Yes, go to the next magic store and ask for a "Potion of Extra
Healing", usually available for 150 - 200 goldpieces.

You may also try a "Potion of Cure Poison" or a "Potion of Cure
Disease" , both available in the 200 gold-pieces range, too.

If you cannot locate a magic shoppe, try to find potions in local
underground lairs and dungeons, there you will find them for free, but
beware, there are monsters inside, so don't forget your sword !

You may wish to put this poster in your filters.
He's "spamming" various newsgroups with various nonsense.

<snipped>

This guy's been reported to Google, they're going to shut him down (using
that e-mail address).
He probably can get back in using another one, so filtering his name is
still a good idea.

he's using some sort of 'bot software and hacking proxy ports to use other
machines to actually send his tripe. this one came from 193.251.169.169,
which  is:

Internet Service Provider of algerian Ministry of P&T;

complaints, with full headers to:

h-atif@djaweb.dz

big 'but' - it won't help much. i've spotted 6 diff. ip numbers in  6 diff.
'groups - heck in one he even hacked a library system. as trolls go he's
pretty tame

be well

Thanks Paul, hey you're everywhere I seem to be. :-)
Thanks for watching over this newsgroup too. (if that's what you're doing)
Point taken, but I get e-mails from regulars (or those who should be here) who
are intimidated from posting because of these and other trolls.  So tame to you
and me can be "scarey" to others here. Though it seems to me it's easy to say
"I don't recognize that name, so I'll just skip over it" (some can get upset
with this weird type of stuff);.

What's really weird is that every newsgroup that I usually routinely check or
post to, he was showing up ..kind of made me paranoid too until I saw a post on
the prostate cancer newsgroup showing groups I don't have have on my list.
And he skipped AMF oddly...
Thanks for the info and your efforts.

hey j!

> Thanks Paul, hey you're everywhere I seem to be. :-)

ah shucks - not really (BG!) if you notice my headers is shows the wheelchair
society - it's a small charity here in the d.c. area that i've been with for years.

part of what i do is information and referral plus a bit of research. we have
several longtimers here that are lupus and are not on the web; so  i will
periodically check info for them.

often this group will have dietary, medical info that sends me off on a hunt that
would have otherwise taken me much longer to ferret out.

there about 20 or so 'groups i do this on, not counting my own personal health
needs:

my personal issue is still's disease - a form of auto immune arthritis - 50+ years
with it now...a.s.a and m.h.a are my 'home' groups, along with a.s.c-p.

anywho - whenever i happen to be on  a 'group, and one of the oddballs posts, i'll
try to give factual info - like abuse reporting addy's or the  history on them -

> Thanks for watching over this newsgroup too. (if that's what you're doing)

lololol - i have been charged with many things over the years, but never that of
guardian angel! to ornery for that!

> Point taken, but I get e-mails from regulars (or those who should be here) who

what i always try to inculcate in others is simply this:

ignore trolls and other such obnoxious types and they will virtually always also
leave you alone. they desire a response - and it is needed for them to continue
their little game.

naifs and newts should 'never' jump and play the game unless they have the stomach
for it...

one should never join the fray unless they are able to understand that it's not
real life and never a reflection upon themselves personally no matter what the
idjit might write.

personally, i find it all very silly, but i do understand that others can be very
hurt by it - so best for them to abstain.

it is also a very good reason for the newts to use a throwaway email account when
posting to newsgroups - that way even if a troll acts up the folks are protected
from any personal emails bothering them...

i'm too thick skinned to bother with a throwaway - whenever an idjit has tried to
'get' me - they regret it...(bg)

over in a.s.a. there is such a strong group of folks that, anyone who tries
anything, gets roasted from all sides - makes for swift work when done by the
experienced! in other groups a newbie will 'try' to deal with it and get swept up
in the nonsense.

yupper - that's why i think it's probably partly automated - either that of the
fool has a ton of time to waste!

Hi Paul,
Thanks for the important advice there.

And since this is the first time you've explained your presence here, welcome to
alt.support.lupus
Glad the information is helping you to help others and thank you for helping others.
If there's ever a topic that you don't see being discussed and it's not on Shelagh's
web page nor in the FAQ, dive on in and start the topic.

Best wishes Paul,
J
