Gee, I think it might have been on one of the news shows about sunblocks
etc. They said that sun interferes with the body's immune system and tends
to suppress it. It's the suppression that leads to things like skin cancer.

Just wondering if that is why I seem to need a little sun. (Not much, just a
little.)

Oh, and they also talked about the Rit product for your clothes and some of
the fancy clothes being made today that keep the sun's rays out. It was
interesting.

Ever notice how we get into these discussions as we approach summer?

gee what show was that on?

I just saw a health up date that people should catch some rays of the sun
to increase the need for vitamin D. Then in the same breath they mentioned
the USE of sunblock to prevent skin cancer.

Of course, you do know that sun block does NOT totally block all rays, so
at least there is some getting in.  I myself do NOT leave home with out it
on

I just also bought a product from OIL of OLAY, my favorite skin
moisturizing cream.    But the NEW product is 30 plus sunscreen with zinc
oxide in it.  OH man is it nice and you can put it on and it is NOT so darn
sticky.  Make up goes on over with no smudge either.  I like it alot.
Along with my old bannana boat 50 and solbar.  A must for me.

It is funny cause my mom had the softest skin and she indeed used the old
oil of olay, the pink kind that smells.  NOW here is her daughter using it
too.  Something mommy teaches you, never leaves you.  And my skin is soft
as a baby's.....skin. OK Andy.  YOUR turn

I am from Oklahoma! <g> I have used Oil of Olay with sunscreen in it
forever. My face is smooth too... not like a babies butt but smooth.
My granny used to work for the co and we would get free stuff all the time I
have some collector jars of that stuff that in the future might be worth
something.
Hey Andy do they have oil of olay down there??

Over, not down... yes we do, though I forget if it used to be called Oil
of Ulay and was renamed Olay, or the other way round. Things do seem to
get renamed more in Europe than in USA - the yellow plastic lemon-juice
product used to be Jif and has now become Cif, allegedly because Jif
means something rude in Serbo-Croatian, or so they tell me...

No, "corny as Kansas in August, high as a kite on the fourth of July, the
corn is as high as an elephant's eye" is from "Oklahoma". I don't remember
anything about a baby's ..... but this brain doesn't operate on full power
anymore. LOL

I have not yet seen the SPF 30 Oil of Olay Complete.  Does it come in
unscented?
I have become so sensitive to the smell of lotions and sunscreens that I
either become nauseated or get a headache (or both) just from the scent.

Yes Mair.

It is for sensitive skin, and says OLAY complete defense daily UV
moisturizer.  spf 30, skin sensitive.  It has no smell that I notice. but
doesn't say on bottle.
Wal mart has it and so does Meijer.  IT is a pump  2.5 ounce bottle.  in a
gold box..at the cosmetic counter but more so in the sun screen.  ask
pharmacist.

ingredients?
7.5% octinoxate
6.0% zinc oxide
2.5% octisalate
2.5% octocrylene
write www.oilofolay
or call
1800-285-5170

ask the questions. HEY may they give free samples LOL
good luck

I think it was the Today show.

I use Oil of Olay, too - the non-sunscreen one. But I have to hunt for
things that don't contain sun screens. It's in everything including my once
favorite foundation. I get so mad that they just have to put sunscreen in
everything. I'm not joking it feels like someone rubbed fiberglass into my
skin if I use any sun screens.

But the last time I was around my MIL there were a bunch of very mature
women sitting around discussing their skin and all the "old bitties" with
lovely skin had used Oil of Olay since they were young. You would have
thought it was a commercial! Made me think about being more faithful about
using skin cream. I also use the facial wash in a pump bottle.
