Hi
just thought I would let you know, I am scheduled for pain blocks in the
am. ALL I did was call and bingo they got me in. They must know I am
hurting big time.
I know it is cortisone and novacaine which of course, means more cortisone
but what are you going to do. be in pain. I still will NOT do the botox
injected in the spine. Until there is proof a LUPUS patient can take botox
with out problems...I will NOT do it.
I will also ask about the nerve blocks as well as the ultra sound and use
of that to stop pain......what you some one mentioned last post.
wish me luck.
this has got to work, then maybe the lupus crap will take a hike for
awhile.
OH bp is crawling up and had to call about that too.
What ya gonna do.

I'm gonna go rest. You are in my thoughts. Best wishes on the shots. I
know it's no fun but if it will keep you out of pain or at least reduce the
pain, than it's what you have to do.

Hi Janers,
I hope all went well & you're out celebrating some pain-free moments.
Hugs,
Maggie

I hope you have good results and are out of pain SOON! Keep us updated. (Try
not to faint like I always do when they jab those needles in me!)

Hi Janers, a misunderstanding.
There's injections (done by some doctors who are trained and approved to do so)
then there's ultrasound-guided injections (done by radiologists who are trained
and approved to do injections but use the machine to detect where to point the
needle)
Then there's ultrasound therapy - which some physio places do to try and help
mostly muscle pain (I think).
Hugs - hope whatever you got helps you

PS I think I read recently that pain increases stress ie possibly can cause
elevated BP...

Can't you take some kind of dope for pain? Opiates or something like that?
Or am I coming late to the party and you've already tried all that?
I live with constant, chronic pain and I'd gladly take on all yours if it
meant you could feel better. I've been taking opiates for so long that it
really doesn't work very well anymore but the Doc's don't seem to understand
the concept of "tolerance."
As long as I got to hurt, might as well take your pain on top of my own.I'll
pray that you're feeling better by now!
Michael
