I had a great e-mail going for you, but my Netscape crapped on Java and
I lost it all.
Just popping in a note here instead.
I faxed a request to physiatrist to refer me to surgeon about removing
the bump.
It's really cramping my computer use.

Tuffie caught a bird on Tuesday night. My back was turned burying
kitchen scraps.
I had to go back and bury the bird. I was ticked. she was baffled on why
I wasn't congratulating her.

The lady out back wanted me to dig up some "weeds" in the common area.
She said if her daughter who is 60 can get them out, so could I. So
since I don't have a "yardwaste" pile and she does (and her family
brings in a trailer to drag it away), I snuck out this morning in the
dark and dumped my yardwaste on top of her pile <g> Do ya think I could
get arrested for that? <smile>

More later by e-mail.

Hi J :)))
My hot mail has not been working for a week now. Can not find the problem
can you , hmmmmmm ?:)))

Well I have lost my Dr. of 27 yrs. , His office is gonedy , all I have from
his machine is a Toronto number , "no names given of who this is" On calling
it , you get a message saying if you wish your records for your  new Dr. pay
$50.00 dollars for every six pages to be sent by fax to your new Dr.  " not
to you ."
So here I sit  , no new Dr." non are taking patients " two days of meds left
Grrrr !

O , J , well me thinks of it , that new health ohip cost this week will not
show it is built in to your income tax so it goes up , this way you can not
see it and better for the gov. you can not claim as expense.  So us slugs on
a fixed income just got whazood . Phy and chiro also gone off covered list.

Marcia is having big trouble with the head bumps they are coming to heads
and breaking , each hole has to be sutured , she is very depressed.

This being the long weekend , I got the 5vr ready for summer without her
knowing . So I will kidnap her and spend three days just us ,slow walks ,
camp fires , reading " got all the mags she loves this month " and
charcoal  BQ " not gas "  steak and honey garlic ribs done real slow :)))

Bruce On. " if it rains , well indoor sports I guess :))) "

MS opens Hotmail to bulk mailers Published Wednesday 5th May 2004 12:50 GMT

Maybe it's time to pay someone to set up your Outlook Express and show you how
to use it (or another newsreader).
Maybe someone here would tell you of a better newsreader?
My ISP has a Spam Trap so I get very little if any spam.

Got a friend or someone who'll speak up to get you in to their doctor? If not,
you have to start calling each doctor and begging...
Meantime, if it's not pain or "psychotropic" meds, walkin clinics will renew.
Take your prescription bottle with you.

As to your medical file, it's my understanding they are bound by law or the
Ontario College of Physicians to provide a full copy of your medical file for
$50.00 (if it's very thick, could be $100.00).
Better check here http://www.cpso.on.ca/Policies/policy.htm first.
If so (and my doctor before he left provided each of us who requested copies to
us or our new doctors if applicable)..since I didn't have one, he gave me copy
of the whole file (except his notes). for $50.00

The rent on the place where your doctor was and the mailing address is problably
still valid. He probably left a forwarding card at the Post office for his mail.

You could try sending a (registered?) letter with $50.00 cheque asking them to
photocopy and send YOU the whole file??  Add $5.00 to cover mailing. Get after
them Bruce because a new doctor won't be able to do much for you until (s)he has
your file.

More later.

Whoops I snipped the OHIP part
http://www.theglobeandmail.com/servlet/ArticleNews/TPStory/LAC/20040519/BUDGETDE
LIST19/TPHealth/

. "To improve cancer care and cardiac care, home care and long-term care, we
have to delist less critical services,"
(physio changes in 2005)

Guess we're not critical after all we're nameless faceless people eh?
I don't have a clue how to find out more about this OHIP fee business.
As usual gov't announces something but it's not explained on the OHIP page.

Hi Bruce
Your time away with Marcia, and the stuff you planned.... well
WOW! You are something else.... she is lucky to have you and I
really hope the weather holds and you both have a terrific re and
re together.... actually indoor sounds good too <g>!!
What are the bumps you mentioned? I can't imagine what would be
happening there... I am so sorry you lost your doc of 27 years...
I too lost mine of 25 years just 1 1/2 years ago... just when we
retired so did he and he went to Scotland... which made our move
easier somehow... knowing I would have had to change docs anyhow
seemed to help the transition but boy I still miss our long talks
about everything and the casual checkups and the 'trust' we had
in each other... you just can't make up for 20 odd years with one
care giver  at our age! It made me feel so old at that time....
but it got better so good luck to you with the change... doctor
shortage is bad all over Canada right now; I wish you great luck!
Hugs from Shelagh *to you both*

So sorry about your doctor, Bruce.  Listen to J, though.  She knows what
she's talking about. : )  If he could charge each patient nearly 10
bucks a page for their records...well, it's no wonder he's leaving the
practice!  The money's in the paperwork!  Go get 'em Brucie!  lol!  I
owed you that one for the flapper thing. :))

Have fun on your most awesome camp out!  Hoping for good weather & a
relaxing time for you & Marcia.

Hugs,
Maggie

Sounds wonderful. Where do you plan to head? NSEW? Water?
Sorry about the doctor thing. That's horrible.

whoops I just got a "returned notice" email appearing tp be from Hotmail - maybe
from my email to you on Sunday...
but I deleted it off my ISP's server thinking it was virus :(((
now I'll try e-mailing you again and see if returned mail message gives a clue
J - trying to get a clue ;-)

Bruce, I goofed with my other post.
You're already using Outlook Express for newsgroups.
So if your hotmail continues to become a problem, you may wish to have a
yahoo.ca e-mail address
They have a spam filter so the allowed number of messages doesn't gum up the
e-mail.
You probably could get the same email except tell everyone change the
hotmail.com to yahoo.ca
No bouncie message back yet from my test e-mail today to you.
But the one I sent you previously was Sunday and the bounce only came back
today.

Hi J,
Bummer about the lost email. I am so disappointed. You should not have told
me that it was a great one. <g> Bad Tuffie. I hope you gave the bird a
fitting send off. Just think, if you do get arrested you could get that bump
taken care of pronto. In Sk, prisoners get priority medical care. Three more
sleeps and it is into my hippymobile and off I go. I am sure there is room
for you. Wanna come?

What's the bump, J?  Is it on your hand?

You just crack me up.  I was thinking; the next time I rake up Catalpa
pods, I'm gonna go out there & dump them over the fence & let the owner
of the stupid tree deal with them!  They won't rake a single pod!  I can
just see you sneaking back there to dump the goods.  lol!  Don't blame
you a bit.

This healthcare thing you all go through up there...I'm very sorry it's
like that.  I hope they can get you in soon & take care of your, now,
infamous "bump."  Wanna know!  : )

Hugs,
Maggie

Well, it's not stealing, it's adding. How can they possibly arrest us for
that?

You remind me of Dad and the war he had with his neighbours over their
trees.
He got fed up of raking their leaves and trying to figure out what to do
with them.
Some large pieces of bark fall off an old tree on the neighbor's lot right
at the fenceline.
I was throwing them back over, then they threw them back.
So I broke some up and put out in the garbage, but it costs me $1.50 per
bag. They also have a trailer or van to take it away. I don't. What makes
people do this, I don't know. The tree has a wood pecker living in it.

I mulch leaves with lawn mower. It feeds the lawn and worms.

http://forums.gardenweb.com/forums/load/dried/msg1019353027568.html
Maybe you could sell the pods on e-bay ?
Some one here mentions smoking them? http://monkeyfilter.com/link.php/2140

If they're seeds, I guess they don't mulch? too small and close to the
ground.

Some trees out here have helicopter seeds. The seed at one end and the rest
of it is shaped like a wing.
I throw them up in the air and they come down like a whirly bird, my cats
always liked chasing after those.

Bump is on underside of left arm just below the elbow. Bev says she has no
bumps in that area.

If you had a blower or a reverse-vacuum cleaner you could blow them over the
fence and if they ask " it was a big wind that did it" <grin>
Hugs Maggie,
Take care
J

Here's an idea, paint them silver and make tree decorations.
Better yet, start craft workshops, charge kids, teach them how to do, then
buy them back from them and sell them on ebay for next Christmas ;-)

Another idea for your kiddie craft school

J - looking for money-making ideas for you for the pods
Maggie - 21 May 2004 18:34 GMT
You really are brilliant, J!  LOL!  Just AwEsOmE!  I did a search too,
but could only find one lady looking to get some Catalpa pods for her
floral arrangements.  I'm like kewel!  Then I see all the people who'd
already responded.  May as well have been a coupla million.  I think
they scared her back into a pod-free zone!

Looked on eBay, but could only find seedlings.  Don't know if that's
good or bad.  I did go out & pick some selected pods off the ground & I
want to make a floral door swag with them.  Have a pine cone tree in the
front & lo & behold, one of those sites you found, mentioned putting
them with Japanese Maple leaves & my neighbor has one of those. : )

The most awesome one to me was the Catfish bait!  Who'da thought I had
bait in my back yard all this time & didn't even have to dig for it?
Wondering if I can broker a deal with nearest bait shop?  And so kewl
that you can freeze the worms & they come back to life!

You know, my neighbor's are young & healthy kids & their yard looks like
a jungle!  I'm so disgusted with them.  There's about 5 trees growing in
the fence rows (their side) & one of them is another Catalpa tree. LOL!
Not gonna happen!  I cut them all down last year, but then, like an
idiot, I failed to buy the stump killer.

Be sure that if I strike it rich on pods, you will have alllll the trash
bags you could ever want.  And I'll ship that woodchuck to Andy for ya
too. lol!

I'm hoping you get to see a doctor soon, J.  Hang in there, k?

HugsHoney,
Maggie
