truth.  Not here but elsewhere but ya'll get to read my long disclaimer. :-)

I claim no expertise, just my experience, observations, web search results
and/or opinion.

I don't know what's up with this, but IMO people on newsgroups get what they pay
for, which is zippo. (meaning if we don't pay, we shouldn't expect to hold
someone liable for expressing their thoughts, experiences, opinions etc).

I love it, KC!  However, my opinions may not express those of myself. ;

The fountain pen community is largely made up of very good people, very
generous people who will literally give pens and ink away in order to make
new converts to the hobby.  But as with all such groups there are
personalities that clash.  I've had problems in the past where I really let
it upset me when someone jumped on me.  You know, on here I can seem a bit
too strong and "know-it-all" I think.  I *sound* like I believe everything I
say to be truth.  But I *always* use expressions like "in my opinion" or "in
my experience" or "just my .02" and I usually try to offer more than one
possible explanation for a problem or concern.  Because I *do* consider
myself rational, reasonable, and fair in most cases.  So it really pisses me
the **** off when someone takes one sentence out of a post and attacks it as
if it was all that mattered.  As if I was dictating to people how to behave
or think.  another person (maybe the same) also condemned *this* group (yes,
ASL) some time ago and basically implied that a loved one who came here
found it intolerable because we offered URLs to look at rather than rolling
out the red carpet.  I understand getting in a mood now and then and taking
exception to strong statements.  BUT DAMN IT I SAID "MAYBE"!!!!

okay - well, that's out of my system. :-)

oh well - it's not like I don't have better things to do anyway. :-)  Thanks
for your support.  I'm gonna go eat some worms.

hugs,
k

I know what you mean about being attacked. Not on this group but been there
and had it done to me.

You can stick your two cents in any time you want.

That would be Mezgal.  Not sure of the spelling but it is a special type of
Tequila, right?  Never tried it myself.  Not a bad thought though ;-)

Perhaps the idea is to make you worry so much about the worms that you
forget everything else?

Maybe the ones in the bottom of the bottle might help with the bowel
disorders....:o) <g>
They say that alcohol is a natural antiseptic, and being that the worm is
inebriated; well there you go.

That's ok I think I will pass on the worms..

Makes me think of that grade school song "the worms crawl in the worms crawl
out the worms play peeknuckle on your snout" You guys probably know the
rest....lol

Ooh! OOH! A pen person! I love pens and have far too many - good ones,
cheap ones, everything in between.

So, I have this Waterman fountain pen that I stupidly let go dry with
ink in it. I've tried soaking it, but it still won't flow. Any
suggestions?

Disclaimer: While I have and enjoy many pens, I know less than I should
about them.
