Hi Everyone

Just reading some posts about 'not being able to download'.  How do most
people read these posts?  I access through Outlook Express - my email
program.  Is there another way?  A better way?  What is the difference?

Could someone please enlighten me.

That's what I use and I'm fine with it. I've done it through Google and to
me that is a hassle.
Where abouts are you down-under?

Hi Winny, Welcome

Most people here use OE as you are. It or another newsreader program is the
best way to access the group. Some here don't have a choice and use Google
Groups or NetTV. You won't be flamed here for using the "wrong" type of
access (there really isn't any) or posting style (top or bottom posting).
Though I have never mentioned it in this group previously i would ask you
to use QuoteFix
http://jump.to/outlook-quotefix
It makes replies easier to read by not making ragged lines.

If you have or are interested in taking the time to use another reader you
could go to this group to learen:
news://news.software.readers
In that group be sure to bottom post (replies below quoted text). The
primary advantage of readers other than OE would be better filtering to
reduce the amount of spam you would see. Of course it comes at the cost of
learning how to use that capability and some are quite complicated. JMO

BTW what brings you here?

Hi Timothy

What brings me here?  Lupus.  Diagnosed 22 years ago - age 15.    Couple of
major incidents over the years ... kidney transplant, stroke ... but the
last five has seen more general type symptoms - the aches/pains, tiredness,
that everyone would be familiar with.  And I tell you, the everyday stuff is
worse than the "big" events.

I like to see what others are experiencing and contribute if I can offer
something.

Winny

ps.  Thanks for the info.  I was just curious.  I am quite happy to stick
with OE but will look at the site you mentioned just for the experience :-)
I usually use Mailwash .. that is the same thing right?

Just curious, I hadn't noticed any previous post from you. Looks like
you've been through the wringer, but not that out of the ordinary for this
group.

No, completely different. Notice the 2nd line in my earlier responce to
you, "the" all alone. If you are to reply to this post you will see many
lines like that. Quotefix will re-wrap the lines so you won't see that
ragged formatting.
