Sounds like I'm a basket case, but I'm not so bad. Still, I wondered
if other lupies have had this combination from getting run down, and
if there might be a connection to lupus, or if I just let myself get
very run down.

I think the asthma is the most bothersome. I have to stop between
sentences to breathe, and I wake myself up with the rattling and
rumbling in my chest. And I'm tired. Zzzzzz.

I don't know.. this is me. How long have you had this?
Do you have to do pulminary function tests?

I just got the triple diagnosis Friday afternoon, and I've been on
meds since Friday night. While I was at the doctor's office, they
tested me with a peak flow meter before and after inhaling albuterol
through a nebulizer, but that doesn't sound as formal as a pulmonary
function test. Is it the same thing?

If it's not the same thing,  they might not send me for pulmonary
function test since I don't seem to be asthmatic except when sick with
another respiratory problem. What do you get pulmonary function tests
for, and were you having breathing problems before your recent cancer
treatment? IOW, does the dicky breathing seem to result from your
lupus or the nasties they threw at your cancer?

And how do you run the rest of your life (e.g. write and operate a
household) when you have to stop so often to focus on breathing? I am
not looking forward to returning to work like this!

I don't think it's the same... but I'm new to lungs! A PFT is different tests, like breathing as
hard as possible into a tube, holding your breath, etc.....

What do you get pulmonary function testsfor,

Hmm.... I had them routinely after the cancer treatment; then more when I started having lung
problems...

Not at all!

It doesn't look like either, they say, but it's SOMETHING!

It's wanting to take over more care of the 3-year-old that is daunting!

Hope you feel better soon.
