Well.
Hmm.
Okay, something is going on with my lungs. Not Lupus, not cancer....
maybe asthma with an unusual infection on top? I go for a TB test
tomorrow... I did another chest xray, blood test, pulmonary function
test...
They've put me on -- get this -- 40mg of prednisone -- for 2 weeks; to
reduce the inflammation. It seems to be helping somewhat, but that might
be just the drugs talking. :)
However, all their other tortures will have to wait. I am leaving
tomorrow til April 29 to attend my sister's wedding.... I will be
offline....
Off to the bosom of my family for a bit....All the best,
Grace.

Hi Grace,
Try to put all worries aside for now. Enjoy every minute of your time away.
Blessings to you and your sister.

Go have fun with the family.
TB is very treatable - not like it used to be. But I sure would hate to see
you have that one. It also takes almost 8 weeks for a lung culture to show
TB. The skin test only shows exposure to TB not actual TB. (TB I know all
about - one daughter is positive for TB.)
So stick TB way off to the side of your mind and enjoy the family. Nothing
like a wedding to get everyone together and in a happy mood. I'll assume you
son and hubby are going, too. Got to show off that great family of yours.

Grace, ask your rheumatologist about autoimmune vasculitides. There are
many and very few have tests that are specific for that disease.
Symptoms, blood and urine lab results, radiographs (such as x-ray,
ct-scan, mri, mra) can help decide if one has an autoimmune vasculitis.
If the symptoms abate with prednisone, that is an indicator of an
autoimmune process.
SLE patients sometimes develop a vasculitis that may affect the lungs
