I agree with BJ .... I too think more testing would be in order.
I have had renal involvement with lupus and find it difficult to
accept that the opioids are at fault for the 'swelling',
independent of any other cause/s.
Swelling peripherally and around the facial area can be
symptomatic of renal involvement but usually the blood and urine
testing finalizes this serious dx.
Push for more investigation if you can and good luck to you!

That's what I needed to know. I'm going to get a lab slip from my dr
monday. I won't have any problem getting it.
Granted, the swelling could be from the opioids but no harm in making sure
the kidneys are ok.
