Hi all,
Sorry I've been away for so long. I miss you guys! In the middle of a
move to Florida, so have been ridiculously busy with that and school.
Managing both is no easy feat!
Hubby started his new job in Florida, and he seems to be loving it,
which is great news. We were both worried he wouldn't adjust to living
out of NY because he loves NY dearly. But he's loving Florida too, and
doesn't even wish to come home! :)
I've been flying back and forth each weekend to see him, and every time
I arrive in Florida I'm spinning from my hectic NY life, and then by the
end of my trip, I come home to NY with a relaxed smile on my face.
There's something about the warmer weather, slower pace, and friendlier
faces in Florida that makes it so much more worthwhile living compared
to cold, harsh NY. I'm so glad we moved!
I am hopefully graduating this June, if the move and all that time off
from classes didn't kill my semester. If it did, I will take the last
of my credits through a distance learning program somewhere, because
there's no way I'm doing this dance for more than a few months.
Just finished the last of my old NY apartment, and gave in the keys
today. It was sad but then I picture our new apartment and how much
more relaxed hubby is, and I get excited all over again. I think it was
the right move.
Hubby and I are getting married on October 18th. My parents and my
grandmother are probably coming down, and possibly my sister and her
husband. Hopefully hubby's folks will come down, but that's it! No
more people because we want a small intimate wedding with only those
close to us there. We'll have a few close friends and the immediate
family, and hopefully it will be in Naples. :) Haven't been there yet,
but it's supposed to be a paradise, and it's just a few hours away.
Health overall is going ok I guess. My flares are at a minimum, and
that's amazing considering all the stress and stuff. However, my paps
are still abnormal, and now I'm bleeding whenever my body feels like,
and sometimes I miss my monthly altogether.
I'm having eye troubles. My eye pressure keeps going up, and now they
are seeing damage to my optic nerve of my right eye. My eye doc and now
an optic nerve specialist say that my right eye optic nerve is elevated.
Just saw the optic nerve specialist today, and he said the increased
pressure could be from the prednisone use. The elevated optic nerve
could be just how it normally is for me, or it could be from increased
intercranial pressure. Increased intercranial pressure can be caused
from steroid use (prednisone for me), being overweight (me) or from a
brain tumor. He's having me send over my MRI and CT of my brain that I
had done three years or so ago, and he might send me for another MRI if
he feels I need one. I am seeing him for a field of vision study in six
weeks, and we will discuss his findings, and possibly a spinal tap to
determine if there is intercranial pressure. If there is, I will need
meds to stabilize it, but he's trying to avoid that because I'm so young.
Wow, my stomach hurts just writing this post. I've been under way too
much stress lately. Missing you all very much! I haven't been able to
read all the posts that I missed because they are wiped from optimum
Online's server. I can google but I hate using google groups to read
posts. If there's anything important, let me know?
For those of you still reading, wow, thanks! Wishing you all well!
-Sharon

Happy April Fools Day...
I am happy to hear that you and Hubby both love Florida.
I think it would be easier to leave NY to live in Florida compared to
leaving Florida to live in NY....Just because I am from Oklahoma and life
here is so much slower than there.
And sometimes I get worn out from life here....Oh Welll.
I can't wait for your wedding and expect pics. I am glad to hear that your
family will be there to support you. I think that I remember that there was
a question about that awhile back. Could just be my fibro fog...
Very proud about your finishing school in June.
Love you and lots of hugs

Sharon, I'm so happy for you. I do hope this move will do you both some
good.
Sorry to have to getting married so far away - I was still hoping for a
wedding a little closer to me. LOL Maybe since we can't all be there we
could do something special for you. Janer's daughter got married in FL on
the beach and it was a beautiful wedding. Bet she's got some great ideas for
your wedding.
Just concentrate on getting through this last semester. It's only a matter
of a few weeks and it'll be over!

Wow Sharon,
You are so busy it's scary! Just remember to take a few minutes just
for you each day. I'm glad you're feeling better- I know how much of a
gift it truly is to be healthier than you expect, especially during a
time of stress.
Here's to keeping it happy stress! Good luck with everything!
