A good friend will be taking the Micro Specialist Certification exam.
Are there any good study guides, sample questions, other helpful
material available via download, at bookstores, or any other place? She
says CAP's website offers nothing. She has heard that the exam includes
many management-oriented questions, less about the actual practice of
clinical microbiology.

JEDilworth---would love to hear from you on this subject. I bet you
know of some resources, not to mention the fact that you are always
informative, concise, and helpful. Thanks in advance for replys.

I'm really sorry, but I know nothing about this exam. You might want to
check the ASCP site:

Thanks for the compliment - wish I knew more about it. I thought about
taking this years ago, but my daughter was small and I was busy. It wouldn't
translate into more money for me, so I never looked further.
You mentioned the CAP site - why would they have any info on this? Did you
mean ASCP??? If so, then I guess we're at a standstill because that's the
only thing I could think of.
Do any labs pay more for this certification????
