We are reviewing our Delta Check settings.
What has (anyone) used as a reference for setting at what % to set the
test to flag?  We tweaked them about a year ago and now a suggestion
has been put to the pathologist to review them again as they may be
too tight.  Please advise/ suggest: methods, text, etc

Our Delta Check settings are test dependent.  Is there a particular test or
tests you are concerned about?  We have different pathologists for different
departments, and I would be happy to ask about their references if you would
let me know which tests or departments you are checking.

Right now chemistry department.  We just completed auto validation for
PT/ PTT and Macroscopic UA.  They are starting to look into doing
something for the chemistry department. I would think  our BMP
(GLU,BUN, CREAT, NA, CL, CA, K) would be the most  . . .relevant.
In an effort to increase turn around time for EMR we set the
LIS/Hospital system  to split CKMB/CK from  BMP orders.  The enzymes
hold up the BMP results for the EMR. (resist-tangent-mary) :)

Overall, what reference did you use in setting chemistry %. for
Deltas.  Are you doing any auto validation in chemistry?
