As many of you know I am 33 and the proud father of a beautiful 5 year
old girl and 4 month old boy. They are my life.
Well, yesterday, I went to a specialist concernign fevers I have had on
and off for the last year and a half. They come and go quickly.
To make a long story short, she is afraid it might be lympoma. (Cancer
of the lymphnodes). I am terrified I have to go for a gallium scan
Monday and for 4 days after that each day.
My c reactive protein is highly elevated to a 54. My lymphcytes are
low.
I am very scared!
I need prayer!

Sorry to hear that and my prayers are with you. Keep in mind however that
there are different causes for fevers and it is not proven that it is
lymphoma yet. If you had a swollen lymph node then they would have taken
that lymph node out and made a diagnosis based on that biopsy. Even if you
have lymphoma, there are different types of lymphoma and one type can be
cured completely in a high percentage of cases when caught early and yours
would be early.
Have your family and friends close and they will support you through any
fears. It is normal to be scared.
