Hi all. Been a while since I posted. I have a questions that I'd like
to pose to you guys and see if anyone has any thoughts they could share
on the subject. I have recently started working out to get myself in
shape. I do some cardio but mostly weight lifting. I am about to start
taking suppliments to give me more energy. I started taking whey
protein, creatine, L-Glutamine, Amino acids and want to start taking
something called T-Tech that helps the body maintain testosterone
levels in the body. I have noticed that after a few weeks of taking the
other suppliments and during intense workouts I feel "uncomfortable".
(I dont get visible outbreaks just usually good amount of pain in the
groin and back of the legs.) Any thoughts on what effects higher
testosterone levels may have on "outbreaks"? Or is there a connections
between the two. I ask because the closest thing I found about
testosterone and outbreaks was connected to getting testosterone shots
as a therapy for thyroid problems or something.
Thanks for the lookie.

Hi Rojer,
Check the ingredients on those supplements. Many of them may contain
L-arginine.
For more energy, I suggest taking a look at diet changes instead of putting
stuff in your body that it doesn't need. That's my opinion, of course.

Hey Rojer,
I've never heard of a connection between testosterone and HSV
outbreaks, and since it seems like it would lend itself to ready
analysis, I'd have to assume that someone somewhere has thought it
over and ruled it out.
Those supplements, though...
Like Arlyn said, L-arginine is an amino acid thought to play a part
in the HSV replication cycle, so check that out. L-lysine is
another amino acid thought to inhibit the HSV cycle in some people.
And, I don't know enough about any of the other substances you name,
but any time you introduce new things into your body, or take up new
stresses, there is the potential for encouraging the little virus
guys out of their hiding places.
I suppose if you think you need those things as part of your regimen
then I would either try one at a time for a period of weeks, or
eliminate one at a time the same way, and see how you feel.
Take care,
Mike

yeah, sounds like a good idea. It's not so much that I need those
things to stay healthy they just give you an edge when your trying to
gain some body mass to pump up. I'm no body builder or anything but I
have been hitting the weights pretty hard. Still have residual feelings
of embarrassment from high shool days when I was a tooth pick. Had the
same thoughts about the lysine by the way Angela. The lysine didnt work
so I didnt really think the arganine would hurt. Stayed away from it
anyways just in case, though. :) I started the Testosterone pills
today. I will let you guys know if anythin happens.
Thanks for the responces.
