Sex as a factor in Outbreaks

Hello,

I was told by a few people including Angela that outbreaks are sometimes
triggered by friction caused by sex. Well yesterday I was pretty much
finished with an outbreak that I had for the prior week. Yesterday morning I
had sex with my girlfriend and although we didn't use lube she was pretty
wet from being excited etc. Anyway later in the day around 7pm after I had
finished dinner I had noticed that I had some aching in the backs of my
thighs near the butt and some spasms in the legs and also some pinchy
tingling going on hear the groin. It really felt like another outbreak was
coming and in fact I had similar aching and tingling in the early part of
today, but now I seem to be okay like its over (again).

I was wondering if sex can make an outbreak come out that fast like in a
matter of 9 hours??? Maybe it was part of the prior outbreak like one of my
unexplained post outbreak prodromes. I don't know, everytime I think I have
herpes figured out it sends me a curved ball and I either get some weird
outbreak or some weird new sores and things.

Thanks,
Tom

Yep. A recurrent outbreak can crop up that fast after it's triggered.

>Maybe it was part of the prior outbreak

Possibly but not necessarily.

Welcome to the club. Sometimes seems there's nothing about Herpes
that's predictable. It's enough to drive you bonkers. But hang in with
it. Hopefully it'll eventually calm down. Hard to say how long that'll
take though. Suppression can get you over the humps in the meanwhile.

I know...everyone tells me the same thing, but I really don't like medicines
and plus I cannot afford it right now, so I guess I'm gonna grin and bear it
and complain all at the same time...    :o)
