Hello, i am just wondering of it is possible to get an outbreak while
you are healing from another outbreak?
i had my OB like a week ago, it is still not gone (its the first time
i had it on, and sort of in my anus) :(
talk about f.cking painfull!!!!
anyhow, i am starting to get these pains in my legs again like i am
gonna get another outbreak,, can you even get another one while you
still have one already???
i just found out i had herpes:( what a bummer:(:(((:(:(:(:(
well i got a blood test done and my CRAPPPPPPY doctor told me it came
back neg. and told me i had a yeast infection, then i went back with
the same problem and he told me i had an allergic reaction, i asked
him if he could swab my tiny blister and he told me no its not worth
it its not herpes, so he gives me this cream sh.t, which i think made
it worse,,,,
so my dumb a.s goes back again this time he gives me a perscription
for famvir... OK YOU TOLD ME I DON"T HAVE HERPES!!!! why would he give
me Famvir,,, so the next time i felt one coming on i took the med. and
it worked i didn't have an outbreak,, so i go back again cause it
happened again and he finally tells me ok its herpes WHAT A f.ck! he
is!! god i hate docters,, what i hate most of all is i am beleiving
that OK mabie its from the soap i am using, or from lotion, and i am
having unprotedted sex with my boyfriend, even when i have a tiny
sore,, ( i am thinking ohh i got tested and i know i don't have
herpes) because my f.cker obgyn knows best, so its ok to have
unprocted sex with my boyfriend:(
he hasn't got tested in a year, so i hope to god i didn't give it to
him.. it will be that stupid docters fault, i would of never
jeoperdized my boyfriend if i knew a 6 months earlier, and he took a
culture, or gave me a blood test that is accurate,,
uuuuuuuuhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
this sucks
i have so many questions i am glad this newsgroup is here to help
thanks

Okay Jen. First of all: calm down. :)
Your doctor is ill informed but if the blood test came back negative then
that means that you were tested too early for your body to build up the
antibodies to be tested by the blood test. So, that means that you were
infected prior to 12 weeks of the blisters showing up. I would suppose that
means your boyfriend gave it to you. Has he had a herpes test? Or, does he
just do the regular std screening? Herpes tests are NOT included in regular
std testing. Has your boyfriend ever had a cold sore?
So, one could say that your doctor just didn't realize that you need to wait
for 12 - 16 weeks before running a blood test.
I suggest you call the doctor's office and get a copy of the blood test and
post here exactly what it says. We will be able to tell you if you had an
accurate blood test run or not.
Yes, you can get back to back outbreaks. Especially in the early phases of
the virus.
Feel free to list your questions and we will do our best to answer them.

hey Arlyn, yeah i was freking out a little, the thing is is that i had
a sore when i was like 15 years old and mabie one more when i was 17
or 18 i had no idea what it was but i never got tested i thought it
was no big deal especially because it didn't come back that often at
all
than all of a sudden when i turned 21 they started coming back like
once a month. my boyfriend got tested and he came back neg. i saw ther
results,, so i must of had it before i was with him, I thought the
outbreaks were suppost get better over time not worse?? so i made
another appoitment with a diffrent gyn, i am ging this thursday and i
am gonna get a nother blood test done, hopefully this one will tell me
the truth so i can stop worrying about if i have it or if i don't.
i am sure i will have more questions
thanks for the info

I understand exactly how you feel about the Dr.'s. See my post about PHN.
I swear it almost seems like a conspiracy. It's like the Docs don't want
everyone freaking out about Herpes, they think it's no big deal. It reminds
me of the UFO thing. Don't mention it or talk about it and maybe it will go
away. This stuff is extremely infectious and they need to starte studying
more about it.
