I have herpies type 2 and have so for 20 + years , how ever i don't believe
what i have been experiencing for the past 4 months is that .
Occasionally i get some small cuts from 2mm - 10mm across my penis usually
just underneath the head it is very sensitive and can be painful , i did see
a dr and he seems to think it is penile dermatitis which i have never heard
of unto now it usually lasts for aprox 2 - 4 days after i put a small amount
of hydroquautizol cream on it.

Has any one else heard of this symptom?

PS. This only happened after i had thrush on my penis after sex on one
occasion , could be related?

I've heard herp sympotoms described as small "paper cuts".
On the other hand, all "paper cuts" are obviously not herpes related.

Best way to diagnose it is with a culture type test. Granted, a false
negative for herp is possible. A positive result can be relied on
though.
And also, a culture might be able to nail down the cause even if it
isn't herpes.
