I have a spot on my forehead maybe 2 inches in diameter and has been
burning like a severe sunburn for 24 hrs. I did have 2 little papules
at the lower margin but nothing else seems to be happening. Just a
little red. I've had similar "pimples" on my face over the years and
they have alway just gone away but always had some pain and a numbness
like a prodromal period. Now this bigger patch is amazingly painful.
I'm T2 diabetic and taking metformin. maybe this is a side effect. I
plan to see my doc on Monday if this doesn't resolve itself over the
week end. It doesn't seem to be full blown Shingles which I had 15 yrs
ago. But seems to be just a little bit of shingles if there is such a
thing. I am tempted to call it pseudo-schingles or Herpes Simplex?Any
ideas?

Sorry, Larry.  You could have shingles.  You could have herpes simplex.  You
could have hives.  There's just no way to tell.  It's too bad these things only
happen on the weekends.

I hope you're feeling better soon.
