Well I can't say if it's normal or not, but I know my systemic symptoms
went on for a while after the actual OB. I mean I just had what looked
like a small papercut that healed up pretty quickly, but I felt so
fatigued and achy for weeks afterward. I know this feeling went on for
like over a month for me, I got so scared that that was how the rest of my
life was going to be. But hopefully the tide will turn for you soon...I
know this has been hell for you.

Since "normal", as in "what most people experience", is to not even
know that one is infected, no, what you are going through is not
"normal", however, that isn't to say that what you are going through
isn't wildly out of the range of possibility.
You really should try at least a few weeks of Valtrex or Acyclovir.
If I were you I would certainly be talking to my doctor about it.
The drugs are made for people like you.
Take care,
Mike

Well I have been on 1500 mg of Lysine for 4 days and I noticed a marked
improvement. I still feel a little achy all over like the back (upper and
lower) and legs a little and buttocks and groin. Not as tired, still a
little. I still have some minor itchy feelings going on and minor things
that looks like tiny pimples showing up on the inner thighs, but I think the
OB is almost over and I am looking and praying for a time when things are
"normal" again. I am going to talk to my doctor about valtrex or one of
them, so I can have something on hand at least should this start up again
anytime soon.
