I don't normally watch 7th Heaven but one of the current "crisis" on the show is
that Simon had sex with someone who AFTERWARDS told him that she has some
mysterious std. What it is has not been revealed. Now, Simon is going through
the "Do I" or "Don't I" phase and denial, etc. I'm going to watch the show to
see how it all pans out. But one thing that bothered me was that they made a
comment on the show that he's probably safe because a condom was involved. Oh,
not true....

I've never even heard of it. Is it a tv show? (obviously, I'm not
very informed when it comes to tv)

Soooo.... hasn't been revealed to the audience but has it been
revealed to Simon?

Do I or don't I what?? Have sex with her again?

Let us know. Meanwhile is it on network tv? or cable? or .......
where? .... and is it on once a week or every day or.....? (not that
I'll get to watch it but... wouldn't hurt to be informed. The only
Simon I know was the shorter half of Simon & Garfunkel)

Wouldn't that depend on which mysterious std is involved? ... and at
least they seem to be promoting condom use which can't be all bad.
Granted, they not telling the whole story. But do they ever? ;-)

Keep us up... especially if it turns out to be Herpes. I'm thinkin'
it's probably not though. Otherwise I doubt they'd make a fuss over
it. You never know though.

Sorry you weren't able to read my mind yesterday. :) I've been so busy that I
seem to be leaving large chunks out of everything.

7th Heaven is a show on the WB. Check your TV listings: Monday night at 8pm.

Does he or doesn't he have the std because he had sex once with this person.
Yes, she told him afterwards. I don't know what she told the character...it
hasn't been revealed to us yet!

Condom use....HPV? Won't help. HSV? Only protects the covered parts. And what
about oral sex? HIV? Probably a good thing to have that condom on. But I
think that she would have told him if she had HIV. So, I believe it was HSV.
I'm thinking it is one of the above because the other stds are treatable.
