anyone interested.

If this stuff really works, and there are quite a few similar gels in
development that don't as yet work, it'll be a big step forward.
But, as usual, don't believe everything you read on the internet.
We'll see.

It won't help those of us who already suffer; thankfully Cytogenix is
working on their cream.

I suppose it depends on your definition of "help" and "suffer".
For those who "suffer" the use of condoms, seems to me it would be a
huge "help".

I hope they're not the only ones at work on something!  ;-)
What's the latest on what they're up to?

The latest news is that they're hiring a firm to research and construct
a DNA engineering plant.

Press release is here:

Honestly, apart from the psychological effects (which get me down from
time to time, I admit), genital herpes, for those of us who already
suffer from it, will be a much less physically tramautizing experience
within the next 10 years.  Yes, that's a long way off, but there are
some real-world (in-vivo!) studies (Aurx, Antigenics, PowderMed/Chiron)
of therapuetic vaccines that are really, really encouraging.
