You mean your second test results haven't come back yet?
Can't tell what you mean by the above.

Now sounds like yes... again.

Which test?
Did he consider that the first one was taken to early? And the second
one is still within the "iffy" zone?

Sounds to me like it's time to start testing by culture. You may very
well have something going on that's not Herpes related. There are
quite a few other possibilities.
ooooorrrrrr... maybe the IgG results will indicate something definite
when they come back from the lab. I'm still confused about that.
Stay in touch....

Yes, I got the ones back from mid feb.

Well the second results also show a negative like the first result, but i
need to wait on the IgG on the second test. The first IgG showed that there
was no reading for IgM for 1 or 2, and no reading for IgG for HSV2, but it
did show a reading for the IgG on the HSV1 as being 0.85. Since I heard that
0.91+ can be a positive, i guess mine is too close for comfort, so it shows
as negative, but its really borderline. I have nearly all of the known
genital herpes symptoms and get recurrences 4-6 times a year.

He didnt seem to mention that at all, then again i don't know for sure if i
was infected in november, because i did get recurences before that, but just
not that bad as this past OB.

Like what? I am curious, because I tried to research this also and couldnt
find anything else.

Is that possible? You mean that the IgG could show a higher reading which
would mean it was a near positive or something like that?
Thanks,

We've seen several people come here having no doubt they had herpes
only to find out it was something else. I remember one in particular
who was totally convinced and didn't see the point in being tested,
but when he finally went, it turned out to be some sort of bacterial
infection. Point being, if your tests are coming back negative for
Herpes, then your doc shouldn't be ruling everything else out yet.
Granted your symptoms match herpes but they could also match other
things as well.

I'm on the same boat.. Just rang the clinic and the tests are negative.
Everything is negative (including chlamydia, hiv, syphillis, gono) but I do
have some sort of infection because I had odorless, yellowish vaginal
discharge and UTI. Also had little blisters but they weren't very itchy and
doc said they didn't look like herpes. I'm hoping it's something else but
I'm going to do all the tests possible to confirm that it's not herpes.
Still waiting for the second swab test.

Well I think what I want to do is get the second set of IgG results and see
if there is a change in the antibody level. Right now I'm kind of in the
borderline category, and that was for HSV1, (HSV2) was blank, but all my
symptoms seem to be in the genital area. So if they are higher, I'll be able
to say that I probably did the first two tests too soon, and maybe need to
wait a month or two and re-test. I have a good idea that the person I was
with 3 months ago had herpes and that's why I want to get to the bottom of
this. Someone told me somewhere that a positive is something like 0.91 or
higher and mine on the first test was 0.85, so its close, and that was at 12
weeks since the exposure. The last test was at about 14 weeks and I'll have
to see what the IgG is for that one.
The thing is I have been getting blisters and hive like things, and they are
itchy as hell, plus there is a tingling feeling that feels as if the skin is
warm and tight, and then when that happens is usually when the sores form
and hurt for a week or so.
