Safer sex for HSV2 couples?

Should/do couples in which both partners have hsv2 practice safer sex?

I suppose they might if one or the other has an std other than hsv2...
but it hsv2 is their only concern, there's not much point.

If both parties have HSV-2 then there really isn't any need to practice
safer sex unless you've never been tested for HIV or other STDs besides
Herpes. If you are having outbreaks it's not a whole lot of fun to have sex
and can be down right painful.. I would wait until the outbreak clears just
for comfort's sake. Know what I mean?
