Hello all,

I am in the process on waiting for test on whether or not I have HSV1 and
HSV2, but I do know that I have HPV, and I was wondering if this is related
to Herpes (similar virus) or if it is likely to accompany Herpes? I
discovered that I had the HPV about the same time as the "Herpes like"
symptoms came about. I guess at the time when I saw a doctor for the HPV, he
just told me what it was and used some liquid nitrogen to remove the growth,
which has since returned. I had not even thought of the other "Herpes like"
symptoms to being anything more than a rash from the detergent or something,
so I never pursued it. Now that the other symptoms have occurred several
times each year for the past few years I started putting 2 and 2 together. I
notice that the "Herpes like" symptoms come out when I am under alot of
stress or when the seasons change alot, but the HPV is always the same.

Thanks,

Tom

Hi Tom,

They are two separate viruses and not at all alike.  When you have a wart, it
stays until you get rid of it.  You should get the current ones taken care of as
well as you are contagious.  Well, I guess you're contagious either way...By the
way, the HPV virus is so small that condoms don't work against it.

It is common for herpes to be activated during periods of stress.
