If so, "Wouldn't it be lovely?" for those who don't HAVE it already.
I can think of so many people...my daughter, my grandson, my nieces
and nephews.. The rest of us older folk: some of us have it; what
difference does it make now?

A huge different, actually. A therapeutic vaccine would really, really
help. A good immune system can ultimately prevail over each breakout of
herpes, so the new vaccine approach is to keep the immune system ready
at all times with cytotoxic killer cells and NK (natural killer) cells,
which scour for any virii. A few have already shown promising results:

Furthermore, Cytogenix is making a topical cream which actually stops
the virus from replicating further into skin cells. It's supposed to be
way better than the traditional Zovirax cream, which has limited success.
Stressgen is doing good stuff with HPV (genital warts), and they're
expected to apply this research to herpes, as well (although

me doubt the extent of their post-HPV herpes research, now).
Hang in there...
