Why do you think you were abused?

If you have symptoms, get a blood test. Don't assume you have it. You could
simply have a rash. Many people mis-diagnose themselves when there is a very
simple way to be sure... a blood test.

You can get either form of HSV without sexual contact. It's much easier to
get it through sex, but just because you are a virgin doesn't mean you don't
have it. If your mother had it, you could have contracted it when you were
born as you traveled through the birth canal. You can get it from a bath
towel. It's VERY unlikely... but it's still possible.

What I'm hearing is that you're someone that may feel shame for some reason.
Trust me, I understand this. IF you truly have never had sex, and you think
you may have been abused and simply can't recall it, I suggest seeing a
shrink. Maybe you really were abused, or maybe you weren't and this is
simply a manifestation of a psychological problem. It's nothing to be
ashamed of. I see a shrink all the time. I'm crazy as a loon and proud of
it. It's what makes me creative.
