Hello all,
Major question, I have been blessed enough to meet a lovely young lady
that also has genital herpes and I am looking for some quick info before
going to talk to my doctor.

So what do you think ?

First of all, Congratulations!

Second, Protection is Good.  Be safe.  Get to know one another.
Take your time.  Gather information.  Learn.  Share.  Take care of
each other.

Have fun.

Condoms are better than nothing protection against many STDs and
pregnancy.  Morning after pills are not always easy to obtain even
with a Rx. Many drugstores simply do not carry them.  Which is a good
thing know in case of something going wrong and a contraceptive slips
position.

Statistically you have the "luck" of being less likely to catch it and
everything you can do to protect yourself and your partner from
unwanted "side effects" of sexually activity the better chances your
relationship has to thrive.

Jesus Christ man! ALWAYS use a condom with ANY girl (or guy.) Whether they
have an STD or not. The only exceptions would be when you're trying to
conceive and/or after you're married. There's a lot worse diseases out there
than HSV.
