Does she have warts present? Or does she have the virus for the warts?

I've never heard of anyone getting a wart 12 hours after contact. Leave it
alone, don't have sex for a little while and check yourself. There is no
test for HPV in men. So you can't get tested anyway. If you DO get what you
think is a wart or warts, then schedule an appointment. The Doctor can do a
visual inspection.
Did she have an active infection (visible warts)? or had she had the disease
in the past? If she had an active infection, sex was a bad idea... I'm sure
you already knew that. If she had the disease in the past, and you were
wearing a condom, the risk to you is pretty low. In fact, it is MUCH more
likely that you already had HPV before you ever slept with her. 80% of US
adults have genital HPV. It may be that meeting this girl has heightened
your awareness and therefore brought something that was there all along to
your attention.
oh yea... if she doesn't have an active infection (no warts) I suggest more
sex. Preferably preceded by dinner, a movie, maybe some dancing, and lots of
compliments.

lol... nice.

No she didn't have an active infection. She has had it for years and
said that she hasn't ever had a reoccurence since the initial
outbreak.
I guess it's possibly I could have picked it up from a previous
partner and just noticed it. That's depressing. I've already got HSV2.
Sigh.
Now when I have "the talk" before sex, I'll have to get out a list.

No you don't. I don't think you have a wart. I think you slept with someone
you now regret and this is your conscience catching up with you. Are there
free clinics in your area? If there's a college, there's probably a free
clinic. It'd be free, treetment might cost you $30-$60 there but you could
also take care of it yourself. Also, they'd be more experienced at
identifying STDs anyways. There are a LOT of things that "look" like warts
that are not. So it's worth getting it checked out.

Well,
A lot of us are already familiar with the list. :)
You really shouldn't get bothered until you see a doctor, though. There's
no telling what you actually have. Could be nothing.
