That was a great post...congrats. The same thing happened to me last night
actually...with the sliding down the pants thing. I stopped her and now she
is asking questions. I don't want to tell yet as she is going on a trip
starting in a few days and I don't want this on her mind. I got to try to
tell when she gets back...physically for me G-HSV1 is the least of my
worries and hardly bothers me, mentally, its a burden like a ton of bricks
on my head.
Take care
Hello Jim
Good idea about waiting until after the trip. Funny that you mentioned that
... I actually procrastinated because of a birthday party that her parents
were having the following evening. When I did tell her, she said that she
admired my honesty and the respect that I had for her by not just going
ahead without informing her ... that's how I caught it.
I can relate with you about the mental part too (as I'm sure that we all can
relate). I have a great deal of respect for this woman and now it's up to
me to make sure that I don't pass it along.
Now this question is to the group ... like I said in an earlier reply ...
I'm new to this virus. I haven't taken anything for it, but I do (did) have
a prescription of Valtrex to use when needed. I haven't seen any signs of
an outbreak yet, but have started the Valtrex just for insurance purposes
and do wear a condom too.
What do you think of staying on the Valtrex to make sure that the chances of
passing it are reduced? I do check constantly for any signs of an outbreak
too, but let's say that if I'm a once a year person (this is just a
scenario) should a person still take Valtrex daily? I hope that I've worded
this properly as sometimes I have a problem transmitting thoughts to my
fingertips and I apologize if this is a stupid question. Angela ....?
Thank you.

Hey Art...
I only take Fucidin cream when I get my red spot. It goes away usually after
2-3 days. I have Crohn's as well and apparently some of these other drugs
can do damage to my bowels if not careful.
She sort of told me something today that I think would test our
relationship. We saw this kid next to us and she said she loved kids. She
said she could have 20 but may not be able to have any. I asked her what she
meant...she said its possible she may not be able to have children...doctors
are not sure. My reply was to find out for sure, one would have to try and
try and try and try lol It didn't bother me at all, in my mind if we
stay together, it will be something we will work out. I would think this to
be more of an issue than my herpes. Anywho, I'll see what happens when she
gets back.
Take care
