Zovirax versus Valtrex

When to a substitute MD yesterday and asked about generic forms of
Valtrex and was given RX for Zovirax 200mg twice a day. 60 pills cost
$15.03 and the costco Rx listed it as Acyclovir.  1g Valtrex divide in
hal, once a day, 15 pills costs $113.

It this a personal thing of effectiveness?  Is there a place I can
find the comparable effectiveness?

Obviously the costs of suppression therapy is a consideration, but my
experience with partner is he to want as close to 100% protection as
possible. --Which I can't argue with.

I do think that he needs to realize that, in essence, each act of
intercourse is a also contraceptive risk and that is as close to 100%
as is can be, but nothing is guaranteed.  --Especially since I cannot
take hormones because of my heart medication.

Some things just take time to get used to.

Thanks.

By US federal law, there is no difference between a generic and it's brand
name partner other than the packaging.

I asked a pharmacist about generics once and he burst out laughing at me...
lol Get the generic.

Erm Valtrex has no generic - its still under patent. Acyclovir (ACV) which
is the drug in Zovirax is related but not the same (the body cuts out
acyclovir from valaciclovir to make the active drug)

The basic drug regime of valacyclovir was designed IIRC to match
effectiveness of ACV. Its basically an ACV delivery system to allow less
frequent dosing due to less loss of drug enroute to the target areas.

We've recently updated our website to include clinical studies for you on
the effectiveness of Viroxyn for the treatment of HSV-1, as "cold sores".

You're really doing both a disservice to the folks here as well as your
own company, promoting it this way.

Yeah, I bet you don't.  You're an idiot spammer.

Here are just a few places selling Viroxyn for LESS than you
scumbags:

People might want to wonder if there aren't other more
cost/effective or medically beneficial solutions than those offered
by a stupid spammer.

Have a nice day.

All right. Thanks for answering. I understand your point of view better now.

I certainly didn't mean to insult you.
