I usually find something to quibble about in every article I read.
This one though, is one of the more accurate, informative, and
balanced that I've run across.

"The virus can be present in a hot tub, but it won't be active." The
virus doesn't survive well in the environment, even on a wet towel,
says Ashley. However, she advises to avoid sharing razors, especially
with someone who has an active cold sore. The virus can be transmitted
from the razor to the skin. Other viruses, such as hepatitis C, also
can be transmitted by sharing razors.
Spreading herpes from one part of your body to another
(autoinoculation) is possible, but unusual. To be safe, wash your
hands with soap if you touch a herpes sore.
I am glad you've posted this link, as you can see, at the 2002 April,
they know that "The virus can be transmitted from the razor to the
skin"
so most folks in here should be a little less
critical about some points people are trying to make in this group.
BTW, the prostitutes should all have herpes, right? And I mean
by that, the worst possible viral types.
I just realised how come noone ever talks about it.
I mean, there is really the asymptomatic shedding infection potential
as you and others
see it and think about the pain the virus can cause in anyone; would
be a
prostitute able to have sex after being infected?
It is known that condoms does not offer 100% protection agains herpes.
Since 50% of people has it, every 2'nd person could infect a
non-infected person.
