Fever blisters are Herpes simplex type 1. You can also have type 1
genitally. Genital herpes can also be herpes simplex type 2.
How long have you had fever blisters? Is this the first time you've ever
had an outbreak?
If you are newly infected, then you could have possibly transferred herpes
to your genitals. However, this is not as easy as it sounds.
If you've had fever blisters before, then I doubt you transferred it to your
genitals now. But if you are sick or have immune system problems, then this
could have happened.
The only way to find out what you've got going on down below is to get to a
doctor immediately and have it cultured.

It's possible, then, that you did reinfect yourself. But you really can't
be sure. Also, you could have been infected at the same time if you engaged
in oral sex with the person who gave you the fever blisters.

First, stop worrying, it won't help anything.
Second, go get tested, you do have something, and it needs to be cleared up.
As to "treatment", do some research about different cures, and make your own
decision as to which one to use.

The reason is that you get the virus from a person. So, you either recently
came in contact through kissing or you've had herpes a really long time and
you are just now having your first outbreak. Kissing can be a peck on the
cheek, by the way.
If you have not had any personal contact with anyone for a long time, then
you've had herpes for awhile and it would be difficult for you to reinfect
yourself in a new location.

I know anything's possible, but isn't this quite a bit more unlikely
than a peck on the lips? Seems to me the cheek entry method would
probably have to involve a break in the skin or abrasion. Something
like a zit or razor burn/cut etc., I haven't seen much about oral
transmission though, and I often wonder anyhoo, about how they
study/learn transmission methods (genital included). Seems some
speculation and theory would have to be involved ... but I dunno.

It does not matter if you have ever been sexually active. Sexual activity
does not necesarily mean an OB. It could be a trigger for one though, but it
doesn't mean you will definitely get one. The best thing to do is go see a
doc.
