I posted a bit ago regarding thinking I had hsv2.. My girlfriend had
the same symptoms and was tested and they screwed up and told her it
was hsv2, but come to find out when she called back they told her they
read the lab report wrong and its hsv1 in the genitals..
I have had hsv1 my whole life on Orally... I have dated her for over 4
years, so im guessing I probably gave it to her during oral sex and it
just decides to rear its ugly head.. Ironic thing is I gave it to
myself.. from my mouth to my genitals.
Oh life is damn funny..
Anyway.. So I have hsv1 in the genitals now as well. What does this
really mean.. I dont know.. I have read its a bit better to have hsv1
isntead of 2 down there.. but i dont knwo if that is true or not..
Maybe less re occurences..
My outbreak down there once i got on medicine was gone in 2-3days..
maybe because my body is more used to it then hers..
At least i know where it came from.. ME
Im still going to look into natural ways of pretty much making this
thing dormant for life .. which i believe is possible..
And i will be with this girl probably for ever.. so Its no big deal
Oh the irony of it all..
LOL

Hi Ritchie,
Hmmm...it's really difficult to reinfect yourself. Your body is pretty good
at recognizing type 1 herpes so it might not allow for a new infection to
happen. Unless you were sick at the time or have some sort of immune
disease. And, it's really difficult to pass type 1 from genital to genital.
You should still get a blood test, there is a possibility that you have type
2 as well. So many variations on the theme when it comes to herpes.

The only other time I can think of that a person might be able to pass
herpes to another part of their body is if they contracted it for the first
time - were going through a primary outbreak - and there body had not had a
chance to build up on antibodies. Otherwise - it's not likely to happen as
far as reinfection goes. As ar stated - once you have it you don't keep
giving it to yourself over and over again. ar is right - there are lots of
different scenarios - lol

He was just trying to make himself feel better. We all know whats up. He's
already gone... he'll be back in here in 6 months when he gets his next
outbreak.

How do you know that you have type-1 around your genitals? Did you have
your outbreak cultured and typed?
How could you give it to yourself if you already had type-1 in your body to
begin with? (ie: the oral herpes)
Also - just so you know - it's possible to pass herpes even if you don't
have any signs or symptoms. What that means is that the virus can still be
active you just don't see or feel it in the form of a flare up.
Hang in there -
Angela :)
