Question about genital herpes...

If you have herpes on your penis, does it itch? Lets say you have a
lump..would it be irritating/itchin alot?

Hello Bob,
Yes it certainly can itch. Herpes, both types 1 and 2, usually manifest as a
blister/s, not typically a "lump". One frequently has a prodrome beforehand
which is often a tingling or itching sensation.
Hope this info helps, but if you're able to give more info or history, it
would be easier for us.

i had one "bump" on the top of the penis thats almost gone now, was there
for about 2 days...and swelling on the bottom of the penis, near the end.
it never hurts, just itches. so, if like you said, it itches...im confident
i infected myself with herpes...or else i just did SOMETHING wrong

Dude, you could have CANCER or maybe it's just herpes or HPV or something.
Go to the doctor... and pray it's only herpes for gods sakes. If you get a
lump in that area and it has nothing to do with seeing a cute girl, GO TO
THE DOCTOR!

The problem is, the symptoms are so different in everyone. Thinking you "may
have it" is much worse than "Knowing you have it" so go find out for sure so
you don't find the girl of your dreams one day, get married and then have
her devorce you for "cheating on her" when she catches it from you... Better
to know, so you can make sure she's edgucated before hand.

If you have herpes on your penis, it might itch, then again, it might not
itch.

That would depend on what the lump is?

Have you been to the doctor?

Sounds to me like you need to be diagnosed at your doctors office.

Be sure and tell your doctor that you would like to be screened for herpes.
