Hi, I just read on the internet that herpes can cause
heart attacks!  Now I have NEVER read this or heard
this before.  Did I miss something or is this just
bogus fud on that site?

My guess is that its a garbled communication about cytomegalovirus which
IIRC is able to infect in the heart area and potentially cause a
cardiomyopathy of some kind. That virus is a memeber of the herpesvirus
family, not what most people think of when they say or hear 'herpes'

Got a source?

I've heard of it causing heart aches, but never heart attacks.

Herpes is also known to trigger all kinds of false claims.  ;-)
