Hi all,
Just wondering if someone could please help..
Firstly, Im living in a developing S/E Asian country with few western
doctors.
Im presently having what I think is my second herpes outbreak, the only
problem is that they look like nothing like the pics Ive found at Herpes
info sites.
About 50% af my penis and scrotum is covered in what looks similar to
gooseflesh (when your cold) The raised bumps are mostly the same size but
irregular in shape. A few are a bit bigger and a little itchy. Ive had them
for a week now and there are no lesions or open blisters and no pain at all.
I most definatly felt the classic tingling sensation assosiated with herpes
outbreakes.
I saw a western doc, who said it looks not much like herpes, but couldnt
rule it out. I can get a blood test it would be more than 400usd (has to be
shipped out of the country)
Anyway, the thing that confuses me is that given the fact that 50% of my my
penis and scrotum are covered in these bumps, that would point to it being a
severe outbreak, but as I said they havnt broken or caused a lesion. Can
herpes look like this?

Ignore the pictures on the internet. They give a very false sense of what
herpes looks like. The bad news is that it can look like anything.
Your best bet is a test. The $400USD is waaay over priced, I think. Your
biggest expense will be the shipping.

Sounds more like HPV (genital warts).
